Today, with the flourishing development of the electric vehicle industry, the safety of battery packs is the main concern for consumers. As an outstanding representative among power battery factories, VREMT, with its strong technological heritage and spirit of innovation, has made significant advances in the field of 800V battery packs, setting a new benchmark for EV battery pack safety.
As the "heart" of electric vehicles, the safety of battery packs is directly linked to the safety of users' travel. VREMT is well aware of this and always considers safety a top priority while constantly pushing the boundaries of technological innovation. From the selection of raw materials for the cells, safety is rigorously controlled for the 800V battery pack. This 800V battery pack uses an LFP cathode material, which is cobalt-free and does not contain other precious metals. Its crystalline structure is olivine, more stable, with a DSC decomposition temperature reaching 300°C, 60 to 70°C higher than ternary materials, effectively preventing oxygen release reactions and thermal runaway. The LFP anode uses a carbon-based material, which has relatively low capacity density and high structural stability, thus reducing the risk of temperature rise.
In the face of various uncertainties encountered during daily travel, the increased frequency of extreme weather conditions, and the trend towards high-voltage and high-current charging, VREMT has also raised the safety testing standards for EV battery packs.
The VREMT 800V battery pack adopts the core safety strategy of "internal and external protection," using diversified defense measures and high-quality materials to effectively inhibit the phenomenon of thermal runaway. In terms of "internal protection," VREMT has enhanced the thermal protection technology of its 800V battery pack, increasing from 6 to 8 measures. Among these, the overall protective cage safety structure and the 4000-volt gold insulating film work together to provide comprehensive protection for the battery pack. Additionally, digital twin monitoring and adaptive algorithm technology organically combine the physical model with the data-based AI model, enabling precise management of the battery's full lifecycle and accurate prevention of thermal runaway issues caused by the "gradual changes" of the cells.
In terms of "external protection," the VREMT 800V battery pack uses a very high-strength cage structure, known as the "tangible cage." Inside the pack, reinforcement beams are designed to create a three-dimensional interwoven structure that disperses and absorbs external impact forces. Furthermore, the high-temperature-resistant aluminum-manganese alloy insulated liquid cooling plate ensures sealing and reliability. The battery pack achieves an IPX8 waterproof level, making it resistant to urban flooding.
VREMT applies testing standards for its 800V battery pack that far exceed national and industry levels. During the pressure puncture test, a force of 150 kN is applied to compress a fully charged cell with deformation reaching more than 30%, without leakage or charge loss after one hour of rest (the national standard is 100 kN, with deformation more than twice the standard). Then, during the 5 mm steel needle puncture test, the cell does not catch fire, does not explode, and the maximum surface temperature only reaches 33.0°C. In the external combustion test, the pack burns for 240 seconds in a fire exceeding 700°C (the test duration according to the national standard is 130 seconds), then rests for 2 hours without catching fire or exploding, while the cell voltage and pack insulation remain normal.
As a professional power battery factory and battery pack manufacturer, VREMT bases its operations on user needs to reduce battery EV battery packs pack pricing while placing safety at the core of its concerns. In the future, VREMT will continue to innovate and apply the latest technologies to constantly improve the safety of 800V battery packs, thus providing users with higher quality products and allowing them to say goodbye to anxiety related to electric vehicle safety.
